Balkan Front recreates the campaign in the Balkans from the Autumn of 1940 to the Summer of 1941. It covers the failed Italian attempt to conquer Greece, the German blitz which overran Yugoslavia and Greece, and the German airborne assault on Crete. Two maps cover Yougoslavia, Albania and Greece and 720 counters cover the campaign forces of Italy, Greece, Yougoslavia, Britain, Germany, Hungary and Bulgaria. Political rules covering the web of Balkan duplicity and intrigue from Yougoslavia to territory-hungey Bulgaria are also included. This part of World War II is seen at divisional, regimental and battalion level, with turns spanning two weeks (in game play - not real time!) Europa puts you in charge of armies, navies and air forces that fought the battles of World War II. This game is recommended for advanced players.
